We chase the dream as time chases us. If only we could catch the dream before our time passed, perhaps we could win. But it isn’t possible; once we capture the dream it immediately vanishes. The dream, it turns out, is just that – a fantasy we need in order to hide from the terror of our impending mortality.

SIMPLE SOLUTIONS
To go for a walk can be quite reassuring; that there is still air to breathe, that the amazing machine that carries around the three ring circus I call my head still functions, and that there is always the possibility of encountering another person who may be at the end or the beginning of a smile. This kind of reassurance, however, is both cruel and comforting in its promise of simple solutions.
